Guy Janssen has over 30 years of experience in the Government Advisory Sector. He is a versatile professional who can quickly and accurately apply his wide understanding of power structures, strategy analysis, incentives, and change management to any field. His expertise is in mediating policy agreements that create value for all stakeholders and in streamlining purpose, governance and performance measurement to ensure projects actually deliver the expected value. He holds a MPhil in Political Economy, a MA in International Relations and a MSc in Computer Systems. He is a trained mediator and facilitator. He has worked in 20 countries for multilateral organisations (World Bank, UN, etc), Governments (Australia, EU, etc), non-government organisations (Clinton Foundation, moja global, etc.) and companies.
He worked on governance and performance aspects of key policy areas including the use of big data to mitigate climate change, digitalisation to improve services, use of AI to improve natural resource planning, and government process restructuring to increase performance.
He has a particular interest in open self-governance systems and policy implications of technological innovations (e.g. big data, AI, blockchain).
